Cancellation Policy

Goombay Land Private Chef Experience Policy Booking & Deposit A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your event date and services. Events are not confirmed until the signed agreement and deposit have been received. Remaining balances must be paid prior to the event unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Guest Count & Final Details Final guest count, menu selections, dietary accommodations, and event details must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event. Changes made after this timeframe may result in additional charges. Dietary Restrictions & Allergies We accommodate many dietary preferences and food allergies when communicated in advance. However, Goombay Land cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment due to shared preparation spaces, ingredient sourcing, and third-party vendor products. Service & Timing Service times vary based on the selected package, guest count, and menu complexity. Arrival times will be coordinated prior to the event to allow adequate preparation and setup. Kitchen & Workspace Requirements Clients must provide a safe, clean, and functional kitchen environment with access to running water, electricity, and standard kitchen appliances unless otherwise discussed. Cleanup Services include light kitchen cleanup directly related to food preparation and dining service. Excessive cleaning or damages unrelated to service may result in additional fees. Dessert Vendors Goombay Land may partner with a trusted local bakery for specialty desserts. While we carefully coordinate dessert orders, we are not responsible for ingredient substitutions, allergen cross-contact, availability, or delays caused by third-party vendors. Dietary restrictions and allergy concerns must be communicated in advance. Travel Fees Travel fees apply based on distance from our service area as outlined in the private chef package guide. Additional fees may apply for extended travel, specialty rentals, holidays,or extended service hours. Cancellations & Rescheduling All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event may result in partial or full forfeiture of payments due to scheduling commitments and ingredient sourcing. Rescheduled events are subject to availability.
